Children, under the legal school leaving age and in full time education have to obtain a license of permission to work in line with the 1933 Children & Young persons Act (amended in 1968),to ensure that education health and welfare does not suffer. Their local authority requires a declaration from the GP or other health professional to confirm that they are in good health and that they have no condition that would prevent them from doing modelling work, before they can issue them with a performers license. Although we will help obtain these licenses for you and they are valid for 6 months from the date they are signed.
Ask at your local council and they will be able to give you the up to date details, as there are stringent rules about children missing out on education, as well as the number of hours that they can legally work. |
